What is the difference between a Wedding Planner and a Day-Of Coordinator?
A wedding planner is involved in the entire planning process, helping couples with budgeting, vendor selection, design, and logistics—often starting months or even a year in advance. A Day-Of Coordinator steps in closer to the wedding day to finalize details, manage timelines, and ensure everything runs smoothly. While planners help build the wedding from the ground up, coordinators focus on executing your vision seamlessly on the big day!

What exactly does a Day-Of Coordinator do?
For a full breakdown of my services, check out my Day-Of Wedding Coordination page. Need more support in one area and less in another? No problem! I tailor my coordination services to fit each couple’s specific wedding day needs.
-
What is the difference between a Venue Coordinator and a Day-Of Coordinator?
A Venue Coordinator works for the venue and ensures their policies, staff, and logistics run smoothly. Their primary responsibility is overseeing what happens on the venue’s end, such as setup, catering, and venue-specific timelines.
A Day-Of Coordinator, on the other hand, works for you! I focus on managing your wedding day timeline, coordinating with all of your vendors, overseeing décor setup, and handling last-minute issues—so you can relax and enjoy every moment of your big day!
-
How far in advance should I book a Day-Of Coordinator?
It depends on your planning timeline! I recommend reaching out for Day-Of or Month-Of Coordination once your key vendors are booked—such as your venue, photographer, officiant, and decorator—or anywhere from 3 to 9 months before your wedding date.
Once you confirm my services, we’ll start with an initial meeting to discuss your wedding’s size and unique needs. Then, about one month before your wedding, we’ll have another touchpoint to finalize all the details.
-
How do I secure my wedding date?
To officially book my services:
1️⃣ After our initial meeting, I’ll send you a contract for review and signature.
2️⃣ A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date.
3️⃣ The remaining balance is due 60 days before your wedding. -
